Berlin, April 11, 2025 – The PSI Software SE, Business Unit Discrete Manufacturing, has won the Factory Innovation Award 2025 in the category “Artificial Intelligence in the Factory”. As a provider of ERP and MES software, PSI prevailed against well-known competitors and accepted the award at the Hannover Messe 2025.

The award was handed over by Anja Simon, CEO of Labs Network Industrie 4.0 e. V., who also announced the reasons for the jury's decision: This award honors production optimization with AI that uses self-learning relations to perform multi-criteria optimization in a modular production process. Real production data is collected and evaluated using AI and fed back. Thus, a dynamically reconfigurable production system with individually controllable orders is possible.” The software is a good example of how Artificial Intelligence can be used in a factory in a measurable and tangible way.
PSI hatte bereits im Vorjahr den Factory Innovation Award in der PSI already won the Factory Innovation Award in the MES/MOM (Manufacturing Execution System/Manufacturing Operations Management) category last year.
The “Factory Innovation Award” competition is one of the most important awards for smart factory software in Europe. An independent jury of experts consisting of journalists, consultants, users and researchers selects an overall winner in various categories. The award is organized by the Zentrum Industrie 4.0 of the University of Potsdam in cooperation with the Berlin-based GITO publishing house as well as the industry magazine FACTORY INNOVATION.
