AI-based applications optimize sustainable energy supply
Berlin, April 28, 2023 - PSI will present AI-based software solutions for the energy industry at E-world energy & water in Essen from 23 to 25 May 2023 (Hall 3, Stand 314). These include new and expanded functions for energy trading and risk management, gas transport and storage optimization, intelligent network management and monitoring, as well as field force management.
AI-based software for energy trading
With the integrated standard system PSImarket, PSI offers powerful software for the entire processes in energy trading, portfolio management and risk management. The new AI based module Qualicision Smart Day Trader will be launched, which completes the existing workflow in short term trading.
For the optimization and risk assessment of contracts, power plants and complex energy portfolios, the integrated platform TS-Energy will be presented.
Sustainable optimization of gas transport and storage
In the field of gas dispatching, the software solution PSIcontrol/Greengas, which awarded the Innovation Prize of the German Gas Industry 2022, will be presented. It offers simulation, gas quality tracking and control for the transport and distribution of renewable and decarbonized gases such as hydrogen, biogas, LNG, L-gas and H-gas.
The simultaneously exhibited PSIgassuite 8.1/2023 offers new and enhanced functions for transport dispatching. The new solution PSIgasguide provides sustainable support in network operations by determining and optimizing current and future network operating modes using the AI-based optimization software Qualicision.
PSItransport Commercial Dispatching for transport network operators features functions ranging from capacity marketing, nomination, matching and balancing to billing.
Intelligent grid management
The end-to-end digitalization of the grid connection request is demonstrated in a prototype. Here, the digital request is checked directly in PSIneplan/Anywhere and forwarded to the Qualicision AI-based field force management system PSIcommand for appropriate recommended actions. In interaction with the software products PSIgridmobile and PSIngo, the timely installation of the smart meter is carried out so that maintenance and billing can start directly.
In addition, the latest release of the control system PSIcontrol 4.10 with extensive enhancements will be introduced. Besides, PSI will present the software solution PSIdetect for systematic network monitoring based on anomaly detection, which was developed together with E.ON. In addition, PSI partner Rhebo will show its classic attack detection.
The current law to restart digitalization (GNDEW) requires the connection of controllable heat pumps and wallboxes. The software products PSIconnect and PSIngo support the changeover to end-to-end computer-capable grids down to the low-voltage level. Moreover, the products PSIgridmobile and PSIngo enable the prompt installation of smart meters.
In cooperation with BET GmbH and eebus. eV, PSI will report on flexibility management for grid and market-oriented control from the experiences gained in the Living Lab Cologne project.
Furthermore, interested parties can find out about the PSI App Store and the new Collaboration Space for customers and partners.
The PSI Group develops its own software products for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities (energy grids, energy trading, public transport) and industry (metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). The industry-specific products, which are built from standard components, are sold both directly and via the cloud-based PSI App Store and can also be customized by customers and partners themselves. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 2,200 people worldwide.
