AI identifies additional added value potential in the logistic chain
The PSIwms release 2020 includes, among other things, a new dynamic resource planning and interactive warehouse visualization. The dynamic resource planning optimizes the use of employees, equipment and systems taking into account specific qualifications and characteristics. This improves plant utilization and the reverse calculation for determining the time for the start of order production.
The new interactive warehouse visualization displays storage locations according to filling level or block outs for reservations. Taking real geo-coordinates into account, the visualization can also show moving, dynamic objects such as forklifts or loading equipment in detail.
The current PSIglobal 2020 focuses on the integration of industrial intelligence. In doing so, methods and processes of artificial intelligence such as deep qualicision, machine learning and neural networks are used to identify added value potential in the logistics chain. Specifically, this enables, among other things, planning security to be increased by means of reliable forecasts for seasonal and volatile order and shipment processes. In addition, logistics costs can be reduced by means of intelligent analyses of customer ordering behavior.
Based on its own software products, PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities (energy networks, energy trading, public transport) and industry (mining, metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). PSI was founded in 1969 and employs almost 2,000 persons worldwide.
