Artificial intelligence and automated testing for future warehouses
Berlin, January 17, 2024 - PSI Logistics GmbH will be presenting new AI-based functions in the Warehouse Management System PSIwms at the LogiMAT in Stuttgart (booth D41, hall 8) from March 19 to 21, 2024. For the first time, "PSIwms AI" will be presented to a larger expert audience in a live simulation. In a pilot project with the Polish fashion group LPP S.A., the AI platform was able to increase the efficiency of the picking process by more than 20 percent. Another highlight will be the automated and fully configurable test procedure in PSIwms.
PSIwms AI is a platform based on Artificial Intelligence that analyses and optimizes WMS-supported logistics processes. Via a digital twin, it analyzes thousands of warehouse operation scenarios every hour and provides recommendations for improvement. Now, the platform is directly connected to PSIwms via an interface. This ensures that changes in the physical warehouse are automatically transferred to the digital twin in real time and taken into account.
LPP S.A. is a listed Polish clothing group based in Gdansk that already uses PSIwms AI. Due to the very strong increase in order volume in e-commerce, LPP opted for the solution of its long-standing WMS partner PSI Logistics. In the pilot project at the distribution center in Pruszcz Gdański, the efficiency of the picking process has already been increased by more than 20 percent with AI support.
In addition to the live simulation, the PSI presentation on "PSIwms AI - how an AI-supported tool optimizes processes at the fashion company LPP" will take place on Wednesday, 20 March at 4:30 pm in the Forum South in Hall 8.
Automated testing without programming knowledge
PSIwms AI is based on the automated testing function already integrated in PSIwms. This ensures that all relevant processes continue to function permanently and with consistent quality following changes to the warehouse or software. Based on a test database, the program regularly simulates all predefined test cases automatically and identifies any need for action. In PSIwms, for example, hundreds of deliveries with different control parameters can be virtually received, transferred, picked and dispatched within a few minutes - without manual intervention by the user and without any impact on the physical warehouse.
Software for route planning, supply chains and production
The PSIglobal software with intelligent supply chain network design, which supports companies in optimizing their sourcing strategies by means of supplier evaluations based on central criteria, will also be presented. This involves, for example, sustainability aspects such as determining the CO2 footprint in the network and overcoming challenges along the supply chain law.
The PSItms software for efficient planning, control and precise invoicing of transportation services will also be on show. The system provides all the data required to operate efficiently in a daily business. This data and the logistical intelligence in planning ensure the financial success of integrated logistics solutions.
In addition, the new version of the ERP system PSIpenta/ERP 10 will be presented, which offers numerous new features for effective and streamlined production processes.
