Case Study Increased efficiency at Elobau through modern WMS
PSIwms integrates AutoStore and increases elobau's warehouse performance by up to 20%
The company elobau GmbH & Co. KG, founded in 1972 and based in Leutkirch in the Allgäu region, is a leading supplier of contactless sensor technology and control elements. Mastering challenges
Customer's objective
The aim was to implement a warehouse management system (WMS) that would ensure the stability, availability and transparency of the logistics processes. A seamless connection to the AutoStore system was particularly important in order to maximize the efficiency and performance of the automation systems.
Solution approach
Elobau opted for the PSIwms warehouse management system to improve technical performance and ensure a user-friendly experience. By integrating the compact warehouse and the AutoStore system into the warehouse management system, coordinated process control and improved inventory management could be achieved.
The AutoStore system, the heart of intralogistics at elobau, processes 90% of orders and offers 30,000 container storage locations, ensuring that components are available as required. PSIwms is used to control 550 storage and 2,000 retrieval operations in the AutoStore system every day, with the integration of prioritization strategies significantly increasing system performance. This implementation led to a significant increase in performance in the warehouse area, in particular through optimized management of incoming goods, storage locations and precise picking.
Connecting the AutoStore system to PSIwms increased the performance of the automation systems by up to 20 %, resulting in an overall increase in warehouse performance of 15 to 20 %. As a result, elobau not only laid the foundation for increased warehouse performance, but also for future growth and efficiency.
