Key focus on control and train system as well as depot and charge management
Berlin, August 21, 2024 - PSI Transcom will be presenting innovative IT systems for sustainable and efficient public transportation at InnoTrans in Berlin from September 24 to 27, 2024 (Booth 515, Hall 2.1). The focus will be on the PSItraffic/TMS control and train management system, which has been developed into an integrated overall system for rail transport. Further key areas include depot and charge management as well as the presentation of initial results from research projects on autonomous bus driving. Another highlight is a first look at the new release of the Profahr 8 personnel scheduling system.
The new PSItraffic/TMS rail system combines all aspects of rail operations, from project planning and modeling to visualization, conflict detection, dispatching and simulation. The integrated track planner used for modeling enables, among other things, the creation and export of track diagrams as well as the import of railML schemas with automatic plan generation. The simulation environment can be used as a training and simulation instance, as well as for the development and testing of software and external interfaces.
The AI-based depot management system (DMS) from PSI forms the foundation for digitizing processes in bus, tram or rail depots with automatic vehicle scheduling, ensuring the safe provision of vehicles. Coupled with load and charge management, the DMS enables efficient operational e-bus operation. Initial results from research projects on the autonomous driving of buses in depots will also be presented.
In addition, the new release of the Profahr 8 system for planning, dispatching and billing drivers will be introduced, combining proven and new functions in a single interface.
With the PSI systems, infrastructure costs can be reduced and significantly more effective operational processes can be achieved. This leads to maximum availability of vehicles and personnel and is the prerequisite for sustainable, cost-efficient and comfortable local public transportation.
