Berlin, 17April 2020 - Due to the current risk of infection with COVID-19 and the applicable distance rules, Münchener Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH has asked the PSI subsidiary Moveo Software GmbH for a temporary update for the duty registration. Instead of at the terminal in the common room, drivers can now log on to work using mobile devices.
The Munich transport company has been using the personnel disposition system Profahr since 2009. So far, drivers have registered for duty in a social room via the web-based employee communication terminal.
“Usually, many drivers meet in this room during the change of duty - a situation that we wanted to change as quickly as possible due to the current risk of infection with COVID-19 and the applicable distance rules. Therefore, we asked Moveo for a quick alternative solution“, explains Andreas Pass, Head of Driving and Duty Planning.
Within a few hours of the request, Moveo provided the activation codes for the mobile communication solution for employee communication. Via an app, which is quickly available for download for both Android and iOS devices, drivers can now log on to the service directly from the vehicle. In addition, company documents, private messages or duty rosters can also be displayed.
"Because of the quick and uncomplicated help from Moveo, the new work instructions could be implemented without delay and we were able to quickly implement an additional valuable measure to protect our employees," emphasizes Andreas Pass.
In addition to the operational personnel disposition system Profahr and the terminal and mobile radio solutions for employee communication, Stadtwerke München relies on further Profahr modules, e.g. desired duty schedule, vacation optimization, private messages, taxi disposition, appointments and events or document management.
