PSIsaso/DSO meets extended process requirements according to NABEG 2.0

Berlin, March 15, 2021 – Stadtwerke Homburg GmbH has commissioned PSI Software AG with the delivery of the modular solution PSIsaso/DSO Redispatch 2.0. The module will be coupled with the PSI control system that is already in place at the regional energy service provider.

With the "Security Assessment and System Optimization" (SASO) system, PSI offers a modular application for network operators that is independent of the control system. With regard to Redispatch 2.0, this allows both the extensive legal requirements for network operators with their own network bottlenecks to be fulfilled, as well as for those less affected to be optimally served according to their respective needs.

Due to the fact, that the Stadtwerke Homburg are less affected, they benefit from the very lean and cost-effective basic variant of the PSI solution. Since, they rely on secure and reliable network operation in all areas, Stadtwerke Homburg decided from the beginning to also design the redispatch system redundantly. The network condition forecast, which can be activated even later, as well as the optimal selection and dimensioning of measures also secure future demand adjustments.

Due to its modularity and standardization, PSIsaso/DSO has already been implemented quickly and successfully at several well-known distribution network operators and municipal utilities. This allows, in particular, for those network operators that are still on short notice and are only affected to a lesser extent, to implement the legal requirements for the redispatch process reliably and cost-effectively on October 1, 2021.

As a regional energy service provider, Stadtwerke Homburg supplies its customers in the Saarland town of Homburg and the associated districts with natural gas, electricity, drinking water and district heating.

Based on its own software products, PSI Group develops and integrates complete solutions for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities (energy networks, energy trading, public transport) and industry (metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 2,000 people worldwide.
